Great! You can merge 'staging' to 'publish' as soon as you like, when you feel the balance has tipped from 'completely unsure' to 'a good enough to be going on with'; the page is already marked 'work in progress'.
The info on what Python is needed for, and not needed for, should be unified with the INSTALL doc which is perhaps the more canonical place for that info.
