Oh come on. You're overreacting. The fact that you started this discussion (and perhaps your written code helped drive it a bit) is at least not a waste of time. But you need to also *allow* discussion, otherwise this is all indeed an exercise in futility. In general though I don't think it's a good idea to spend the effort of writing some code before you've bounced off your idea with the community.
