JFTR, I'm putting together a set of Windows deveopment environments for trunk/1.8.
The idea is to create several packages of pre-built dependencies (debug, non-debug) x (vs2010, vs2010) x (x86, x64) and one or two VM images. It's going to take a while. -- Brane
