I would like to help with getting another 1.6.x release out by running the release process for 1.6.18.
There is an FSFS corruption fix which has already been merged into 1.6.x in r1240892 which we should push out to 1.6 users. Other good fixes have either already been merged into 1.6.x or are still sitting in STATUS. Please nominate any additional fixes that may be important to 1.6.x users, especially server-side fixes. I will leave time for nominations and voting until Thursday next week (that's the 22nd of June). I'll probably roll a release tarball during the evening of that day. I plan to use our dev/ release directory on dist.apache.org to collect signatures for this release. The release itself will have to be made from tigris.org. Who can help me with getting the release artifacts uploaded there? Thanks.
