It seems we don't have anyone creating binaries at the moment, so therefore I've got nothing to base an installer on. Personally I think we should maintain binaries and an installer. Feedback I've had from a colleague is that something wasn't working properly in one of the third party installers, but was working properly in what we provided on the old tigris site (equivalent versions). At least if we are producing binaries from the developers then the release will be made up of 'known' components. I don't feel I have the time/expertise to pull together a binary.
