I tested on Debian stable. I don't currently build on Windows, but all the code I used is in my first email so you should be able to reproduce it if you want. I do have a VM running XP so perhaps I should learn how to do a Windows build. Much in the same way that we have been assuming that sqlite will perform acceptably, we have been assuming that it will perform acceptably on Windows. Subversion has always had less performance on Windows because of the way it interacts with the filesystem and I think the assumption is that Windows might see a bigger performance gain than Unix. Running the sort of tests I ran would be a good thing to do. -- Philip
