Dear all, The Project Management Committee (PMC) of Apache StormCrawler is happy to announce that Davide has been invited to join us as a committer - and we are even more pleased that he has accepted.
There is something fitting about welcoming a new committer to a project called StormCrawler. The web we crawl is vast, tangled, and full of surprises: no single contributor could ever map it alone. The same is true of the project itself: every patch, every review, every bug report is a thread someone else can pick up, follow, and extend. Davide has been doing exactly that. His contributions to SOLR and OpenSearch made the path clearer for the rest of us, and that, to me, is the Apache Way - not just writing good code, but leaving the project in better shape for whoever comes next. So in my simple but heartfelt "germenglish": thank you, Davide. We are grateful you accepted. As a committer you'll now be able to contribute more seamlessly, and I'm looking forward to where you take us from here. Please join me in giving Davide a warm welcome. Gruß Richard
