Hi folks, I have posted a 1st release candidate for the Apache StormCrawler[version] release and it is ready for testing. StormCrawler 3.4.0 introduces several enhancements, most notably the integration of generative AI via a new LLM-based text extractor compatible with OpenAI APIs, enabling advanced content processing. Solr support has been improved with asynchronous queries and cloud update batching, enhancing indexing performance. The release also adds configurability for OpenSearch response buffering, refines proxy handling, and upgrades to Apache Storm 2.8.1. Numerous dependency updates were included to keep the project current, along with housekeeping changes such as updating license files and removing "Incubating" references, reflecting StormCrawler's TLP status.
