Thanks for your interest in contributing! Every contribution matters,
whether it's fixing code issues or improving documentation. In this case,
updating the documentation is actually quite important—broken docs can make it
harder for users to work with our software. 😊

Contributing isn’t always a straightforward process, so people won't tell
you exactly what to do every time.

If you’d like to help, here’s how you can proceed:

   1. Clone the wiki repository.
   2. Perform a search and replace to update com.digitalpebble to
org.apache—this should be quick with a good IDE.
   3. Push the updated wiki to a repository under your own namespace.
   4. Leave a message here so we can review and merge it, as GitHub doesn’t
allow direct PRs for wikis.

As for joining the organization or a particular project, I’d recommend
reading this guide on how the Apache Software Foundation works:
   https://www.apache.org/foundation/how-it-works/#roles.

Becoming part of an ASF project starts with using it, contributing
occasionally, and earning merit through contributions (code, docs, visibility
on mailing list discussions). Over time, active contributors may be invited as
committers and eventually take on larger roles in the project.

And don’t be discouraged if you don’t receive a response right away. Many
contributors have full-time jobs and may not always have the time or resources
to immediately focus on volunteer activities. Only a small number of people are
actually paid to work on these projects.

Keep exploring and contributing to OSS — your efforts are appreciated!
