Hi,

+1 (non-binding) from me here, because I think it's overall a nice idea to 
clean this up, especially given that that the old repo contains only the pre 
2016 Jekyll website source.

I'm just unsure whether it's better to archive (attic / read-only) or delete as 
you proposed here. I guess it's fine to delete since history is already carried 
over to spark-website?

In any case, PMC should definitely chime in here regarding next steps. Thank 
you for the proposal Nick!
