Client mode doesn't seem to support remote JAR downloading, as reported here: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-10643
The docs here: http://spark.apache.org/docs/latest/submitting-applications.html don't mention any client mode restriction to local files, so I'm assuming this is a bug. Can someone confirm that this is in fact a bug? If so, I'm happy to submit a PR. -- Michael Gummelt Software Engineer Mesosphere
