    @pwendell Yes that's the thing. While the repo was down I could still build 
the whole project from an empty repo. For artifacts like paho, where it's found 
not in the 3 repos mentioned in the parent pom, but in the one configured in 
the module pom, it does fail through the first 3 repos and the down repo takes 
a couple minutes to fail. But it continued correctly. So @tgravescs did you 
originally mean the build failed or did you see something like what I 
mentioned? (If so all is well and this sidebar is over.)
