Dear ShardingSphere Open Source Community Team,I hope this email finds you
well. My name is Wang Nengjian, and my English name is Kyle. I am a database
R&D engineer with years of experience in database adaptation and
development. I am writing to you on behalf of my team and company to express
our sincere intention of cooperating with the community and submitting a Pull
Request (PR) related to adding Dameng Database dialect support to
ShardingSphere.
After long-term and intensive R&D efforts, our team has successfully
completed the adaptation and development of Dameng Database dialect support for
ShardingSphere. As we all know, Dameng Database is a high-performance domestic
database that fully supports the ANSI SQL standard and has deep compatibility
with Oracle proprietary syntax, which is widely used in various enterprise
scenarios. The dialect support we have implemented fully complies with
ShardingSphere's pluggable architecture and coding standards, covering core
functions such as SQL parsing, pagination, primary key generation, and metadata
query, which can effectively solve the problems of SQL generation exceptions
and connection failures caused by incompatible dialects when using
ShardingSphere with Dameng Database.
We have always admired the open-source philosophy of the ShardingSphere
community and highly recognized its position as a distributed database
ecosystem that builds standards and ecology on top of heterogeneous databases.
It is our great honor to feed back our R&D achievements to the open-source
community, so as to enrich the database dialect support system of
ShardingSphere, expand its ecological coverage, and bring more choices for
users who need to use ShardingSphere with Dameng Database.
Therefore, we would like to consult with you on how to carry out cooperation
between both parties and smoothly integrate the implemented Dameng Database
dialect adaptation into the ShardingSphere open-source community. We are fully
familiar with the community's contributor guidelines and PR submission process,
and we are willing to actively cooperate with the community's review,
modification and other related work to ensure that the submitted code meets the
community's quality requirements and coding specifications.
We sincerely look forward to your reply and guidance. If you need any technical
details, test reports or other related materials about the Dameng Database
dialect support, please feel free to contact us. We are committed to promoting
the development of the ShardingSphere open-source ecosystem and contributing
our strength to the prosperity of the open-source community.
Thank you for your time and attention.
Best regards,
Kyle Wang (Wang Nengjian)
