Hi Vijay,

Thank you very much for your interest in participating in Apache Royale and for
sharing your previous experience with Flex, ActionScript and MXML.
Before we guide you through the next steps, it would be helpful if you could
clarify your main goal when joining the project:

* Do you want to create your own project that consumes the Apache Royale SDK
(for example, an application written in MXML/ActionScript that takes advantage
of Royale)?
  If so, a good starting point is the documentation on how to create an
application with Royale:

[https://royale.apache.org/get-started/create-an-application/](https://royale.apache.org/get-started/create-an-application/)

  Once you have your environment set up, you will be able to choose among
different component sets such as MX, Jewel, or Basic, depending on your UI and
styling needs. You can find more information about these component packages
here:

[https://royale.apache.org/get-started/components/](https://royale.apache.org/get-started/components/)

* Or would you prefer to contribute to the development of the Royale SDK itself?
  That would include contributing directly to one of the project’s repositories:

  * royale-compiler (the compiler):
[https://github.com/apache/royale-compiler](https://github.com/apache/royale-compiler)
  * royale-typedefs (type definitions):
[https://github.com/apache/royale-typedefs](https://github.com/apache/royale-typedefs)
  * royale-asjs (main framework and components):
[https://github.com/apache/royale-asjs](https://github.com/apache/royale-asjs)

Depending on your choice, we can guide you with more concrete steps to get
started and help you integrate into the Royale workflow.

Best regards,

Hiedra

Hi,

This is Vijay and I have previously worked for Macromedia Flex development
projects, and where it converted to Apache Royale days.
I do have 20+ Years of experience on Action Script or MXML coding languages.

and I am interested in participating to improve this Royale by contributing
technically.

Could you Please provide me further steps to follow for this project.

Thanks,
