Any VM can get overloaded. My Azure VM runs our CI builds. But nobody will lose money if it crashes. I think it can cost me money if we go over a monthly bandwidth or CPU limit. But that might be a nice problem to have.
Using a server we all have access to means that we can all help maintain it, but personally, I have no problem if a for-profit company wants to host their own version of a service like this to get attention and/or ad revenue. Because of this, I was rather searching for some "out of the box services" which takes care of anything. However, if an AWS instance would work for us and Harbs could setup it I am fine with this!
