Correct. Tika tests will only flag up certain classes of problems, but it's handy for that! Just not the only testing we could get away with ;-)
One other thing that might be good, if we have anyone with the appropriate COM skills and inclination, would be a test mode where we write out all results of the unit tests, ask Excel to open that + save-as something else (csv?), and verify that excel opened it without errors + without crashing + managed to write a non-zero amount of content to the output file. Ideally on multiple versions of Excel... Not a quick job though!
