With 2.pdf I get "Warning [PDCIDFontType0] Using fallback AdobeSongStd-Light
for CID-keyed font STSong-Light" . So it depends what fonts are installed on a
client pc.
Re lastResortFont, the problem is that we'd need some font that has a copyright
that allows to be embedded in PDFBox and that has it all, i.e. as much glyphs
as possible. Alternatively, pass your own fontmapper.
Re 1.pdf this is likely a duplicate of PDFBOX-3293.
