Hi Ozone dev, The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Ozone has invited Xi Chen to become a PMC member and we are pleased to announce that he has accepted the invite.
Xi Chen has contributed to Ozone for 2.5+ years. So far, he has 59 resolved Jira issues, 56 merged PRs and reviewed 32 PRs. His experience of production Ozone cluster maintenance brings a lot of good ideas, critical bug foundings, and performance pain point views to Ozone community. His major contributions include - S3 bug fixes and improvements, including one data loss issue. - Ozone reconfiguration framework. - Ozone asynchronous deletion performance optimization. - EC bucket write performance improvement. - Other performance improvements, like reduce the datanode long-tail latency of handle Request, reduce the number of system calls when DN writes a key, etc. - Lead the release of Ozone 1.4.1 In addition, Xi currently is also working on - Memory consumption optimization for om - Ozone storage policy proposal We thank his great contributions to Apache Ozone for the past years!
