Hi,
This one already discussed on one of the community meetings (As far as I
remember it was suggested by Nanda originally), but I would like to make
more visibility for this question:
Finally we can release Ozone 1.1 as we have Ratis 2.0.0 release but the
release is delayed with 4 months compared to the original plan.
To avoid such long delays with Ozone releases, It was suggested to use
only stable Ratis releases in Ozone and avoid any SNAPSHOT dependencies.
Technically it is very similar what we did until now as we bumped the
ratis version to fixed snapshot version at every 1-2 months (unreleased,
but fixed artifacts)
As Ratis is a Top Level Apache project it shouldn't be a big deal to
release a new minor version any time when it's required, and use the new
released artifact from Ozone.
What do you think?
