2020-09-10 02:17:20 UTC - Dominic Kim: I am fine with mergint Brendan's PR and still interested in releasing 1.0 OW. https://openwhisk-team.slack.com/archives/C3TPCAQG1/p1599704240056600?thread_ts=1599603164.041400&cid=C3TPCAQG1 ---- 2020-09-10 02:28:40 UTC - Dominic Kim: I think we need to also define the process, we need a place to announce and keep the history of release notes and plans and rules for minor and major version. Other than the release management, I feel like many official rules and regulations are missing comparing to other popular projects. As David said, it's not easy to make it actually work for some reason now. But anyway we would need those things not only for the project but more people can get easily involved in the project. +1 : Brendan Doyle https://openwhisk-team.slack.com/archives/C3TPCAQG1/p1599704920056800?thread_ts=1599603164.041400&cid=C3TPCAQG1 ---- 2020-09-10 02:31:19 UTC - Dominic Kim: I think we also need a process to discuss the longterm plans or features to have, and so on. https://openwhisk-team.slack.com/archives/C3TPCAQG1/p1599705079057000?thread_ts=1599603164.041400&cid=C3TPCAQG1 ---- 2020-09-10 16:55:31 UTC - Brendan Doyle: Is this PR blocking for a stable release. Wondering if I can do a release for our service based on current master https://openwhisk-team.slack.com/archives/C3TPCAQG1/p1599756931057300?thread_ts=1599674199.051500&cid=C3TPCAQG1 ---- 2020-09-10 18:04:40 UTC - Tyson Norris: I don’t know if this is blocking - I would say yes, but I see latest master build succeeded, so  - do you want me to wait to merge it till after release? https://openwhisk-team.slack.com/archives/C3TPCAQG1/p1599761080057500?thread_ts=1599674199.051500&cid=C3TPCAQG1 ---- 2020-09-10 18:05:44 UTC - Tyson Norris: I think it will fix reliability of builds, but I thought that before - so I am happy to wait, or commit asap https://openwhisk-team.slack.com/archives/C3TPCAQG1/p1599761144057700?thread_ts=1599674199.051500&cid=C3TPCAQG1 ---- 2020-09-10 18:09:37 UTC - Brendan Doyle: I just meant the release for my team's service that depends on openwhisk. We are going to upgrade. I just meant is the problem just with fixing flaky tests, or is there a concern with a bug in the source code https://openwhisk-team.slack.com/archives/C3TPCAQG1/p1599761377057900?thread_ts=1599674199.051500&cid=C3TPCAQG1 ---- 2020-09-10 18:09:58 UTC - Brendan Doyle: If you're just refactoring things in src to deal with the flaky tests then I don't think it's an issue https://openwhisk-team.slack.com/archives/C3TPCAQG1/p1599761398058100?thread_ts=1599674199.051500&cid=C3TPCAQG1 ---- 2020-09-10 18:10:55 UTC - Tyson Norris: There are changes in both src and tests; I would suggest taking the changes if you can wait for merging this PR?
