Hi Daniele,

Thank you for sending out the patch.
The proposal looks fine for me and also I verified that the performance is 
restored with the patch.

One suggestion is , Do we really have to pass two parameters to the 
"dp_netdev_input" to init and validate the metadata.?
Can we use  the pointer to the port_id/dp_netdev_port. This way there wont be a 
dependency between arguments to a function.
What do you think?? Does it make more complicated??
