"[PATCH] ovs-ofctl: Implementation of eviction on the basis of Importance" sent on Nov 5,2014 has been successfully applied at our end using the same steps as described by you. We have rechecked it and it's working fine. Also the patch posted on ovs-dev forum, is successfully applied with no errors. The issue seems to be with different mail clients used. Kindly use the patch present in ovs-dev forum archive "http://openvswitch.org/pipermail/dev/2014-November/048221.html";. Also attaching the patch for your reference.
