I am a software engineer with 20+ years experience on large, distributed cross platform, telco systems. I am working on a Masters of Engineering in Software Engineering(MESE) at the University of Colorado. My intent is to pick an area in the virtualization arena and extend it for the master's thesis and PhD dissertation. I have been researching this for a couple of months and have discovered several areas in SDN, vSDN and VN that are in need of some extending. However, it occurred to me to not go looking for a problem to solve, but solve a problem that someone already has. Can we work together? I am sure you guys have a prioritized wish list? I could have seen that on my own, but what I need is probably not there. Is there an area of research I could do to further the capabilities of OpenvSwitch?
