Which STT patches you've tried? I've tried a patch from Simon Horman, it works well, you need to patch both kernel and OVS.
BTW, during my perf test, the performance downgrades a lot, even worse than GRE tunnel. Has anyone tried these patches and got a different result? I also noticed OVS gonna present a new tunnel infrastructure from Jesse's mail, does it mean STT tunnel gonna be supported in the future? What about any Q-in-Q support in OVS? Hope Jesse or Simon or any guru could help, thanks On Mon, Sep 24, 2012 at 7:18 PM, satish R <satish6...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi, > > Topology. > > vm eth5 ----- tap0 ---- br0-----eth0 > --------------------------------------------------eth0 > -----br0-------tap0------eth5 vm > machine1 > machine2 > > eth5, tap0, br0 mtu has been set as 64000 to enable sending of greater sized > packets. > eth0 has an mtu of 1500. > > I had enabled gso on eth0 and pinging eth5 from vm of machine 1 using -s > option for ping. > > I have tried -M (do,dont and want) options of ping as well but nothing seems > to work. > > If anyone could please help it would be great as in how to test gso between > two vms using tunnels. > > Thanks & Regards, > Satish > > > _______________________________________________ > dev mailing list > dev@openvswitch.org > http://openvswitch.org/mailman/listinfo/dev > _______________________________________________ dev mailing list dev@openvswitch.org http://openvswitch.org/mailman/listinfo/dev
