I have received info about re-targeting multiple issues to 3.x
I'm disappointed again, since some of them (69970, 32785) are dataloss
grade bugs. By the guidelines, they should have been fixed in next minor
release after report. Years passed and they are still just being
retargeted perpetually. And I assume there is bunch of bugs like these.
I can no longer pursuade my users that longstanding problems in OOo will
eventually get fixed, since I personally hardly believe that.
I can imagine, that 3.0 will bring handful of new problems that will
take 2 years to deal with. This perception is based on 2.0 experience,
the quite pretty however the most buggy version since the pre-1.0 times.
All this means, that those postponed dataloss-grade bugs will remain
unfixed at least for year, at worst.. ad infinitum.
There are 17910 reported bugs older than 5 years that remain unfixed.
Should only these get fixed, the OOo would be the best office suite on
this planet. However, seems that OOo chooses to prefer BIG NUMBERS (wow,
3.0 is comming) than happy customers.
