This is hard to answer. It's not a small task to make this possible and there is no coordinated effort to work on this because it doesn't have a high priority as so many other things we are working on. Even if we invested some time we will not be able to guarantee that it works. The single error with the basic file is something that I hope gets fixed soon because the xlc files cause a lot of other problems we want to get rid of. Perhaps after this gets fixed you could give it another try.
I'd very much like to give it a try. Is there a way for me to track the progress of this issue (I couldn't find anything relevant via the site's search)?
