Not really so puzzling,Matthias.Most of the developers were, and still are,non-native English speakers. The difference between American English, and the others which are primarily based on British English can be very stark,especially in grammar and punctuation.Since the project has historically used American English it does not surprise me that there are still differences.

(And yes, we still have *a lot* of German comments to translate)

Yes, I know some of the German developers when they worked at StarDivision... ;-) I am not surprised that typos exist, I am surprised that they are still not fixed after so many years.
