Might it be a better money saving cost in the long run to simply sell the image, trademarks, and visual rights of the OpenOffice product over to the The Document Foundation instead of having the engineers waste time, money, and brains on pretending to maintain a product by inserting and deleting whitespace commits? Seems like there's people with nothing to do who are earning pay by doing nothing useful.
