Honestly, I started with building AOO, and trying to understand what is
happening. and then I started to try to fix compiler warnings, to have a
code task. I learned a lot how the code worked.
Another idea we have which could be a good idea to get started is to
replace c type arrays with containers.
from the priority what we need to do is to get the AOO 4.2. blockers
getting fixed.

We can use your interest in PHP and also C++. From my point of view you
decide where to dive into.
If you want to look at OpenOffice directly, I suggest you start with
building OpenOffice on your favourite plattform.
We help you with that.
The second Option is to help with our add ons. We need to check if some
of our wikimedia modules run with the latest Wikimedia.
If so, that would be great.
