Proposals could (and should) have been made months ago.

Or start a new vote that includes all proposed logos. Then it's up to the vote starter to collect all proposed logos upfront. ;-)

Sorry, but I don't like the picture optically, but unfortunately I am
not a graphics expert to improve it.

I would also like to point out that "open-source" might be "open
source" (as in : "Open Source Initiative -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Source_Initiative";) should be
called "open source", because this is about English and not German).
Also the ASF itself normally writes "open source", see for example
https://www.apache.org/ or
http://www.apache.org/theapacheway/index.html
