Hi Peter

I do some user help stuff on Facebook, and learn by that more about
using OpenOffice. (I do not have much Office needs in my private live.)
That is one of the problems with OpenOffice (and many other programs): the
developers don't actually use it and the users are not developers...
Well, it is not an unsolvable Issue...
Now why is the tab called number? I am irritated by this. For me it is
an oxymoron.
It is called Numbers because these are the format options that you apply to
numbers (you can format a number as text, but that is a corner case, not the
common use of numeric values in a spreadsheet). The other formatting tabs can
be applied to any cell (number or text) but these options are specific to
numeric values.

Hope this helps

Yes this helps, thanks.
