The coverage in

But it requires working with Infra for a downgrade (better explained as:
support old SSL protocols) of the server.
I think we are currently using the same web server as our main site, but
fortunately we use a different server name; so, if Infra does not like
to reconfigure the main web server, a possibility would be to move the
updates server to a small, cheap, dedicated, machine that we can
configure at will.
As you may have seen, I'm now starting to have more time available for
OpenOffice again, so I can take care of discussing this with Infra in
February.
