Thank you for making the call for testers as well.
As I see it, unless you get negative feedback and since the patch works
in a platform
you can go ahead and commit-test it after some time you judge sufficient.
The buildbots are here to see if things break and "svn revert" is a
valid development
option (one that I personally abused too much, I admit).
