In the event that technical persons at a company are unable to (re)-install OpenOffice the best bet is the nuclear option, although this is best undertaken by experienced computer personell. For this, on the OpenOffice forum, we advise using Revo Uninstaller at its most aggressive to remove all traces of any previous installation, reboot Windows, then install from a fresh download only from www.openoffice.org/download (you will be redirected to Sourceforge site and download will start automatically in 5-10 seconds.
