OpenOffice has it's own widet set by inserting form controllers (Insert -> Form controllers). If the other parties use OpenOffice, you are safe, if you dont and you need to share, then you are out of luck and should use something different like Google Forms. (or encourage the other parties to also use OpenOffice :) )
