Hi A big thanks to all that made FOSDEM happen, especially Andrea.
FOSDEM this year was not crowded with AOO people, but there was constantly people from the eco-system around our stand. A BIG BIG thank to Stehmans (all 3!!!) for their never failing energy. I would have loved to have more technical discussions, but as everyone can guess there was a couple of non-technical themes that everybody else wanted to discuss. I had a lot of talks with other projects, which affect us (like debian and LO) and everybody is still sees AOO as a factor in the openSource community at large. I had a talk with a couple of other non-AOO apache people, and we all agreed to try and make an apache stand next year (with AOO of course), to have ASF represented, and to help Stehmanns in their good work. To me it was 2 nice long days and evenings. Hope to see you all next year. The next month for me, is filled with preparations for ApacheCON US (Austin in april). AOO is sadly not very well represented. I had hoped that the US part of our community would give some interesting presentations, but not all hopes come through. Have fun !! rgds jan I.
