Hello Gerald,

>From your description, below, it does not appear that the situation you
>describe has much to do with Apache OpenOffice (or Microsoft Office).

Perhaps some basic details of what you have done will help us to see better how
OpenOffice can be useful.

When you say you have copied your Music Play list, what exactly is it that you
have copied. Is it the files for the tunes themselves, or is it some files of
data that are about each iTune on a Music Play list? Or something else?

What are you using to look at what you have copied? Are you looking at how the
items appear in the Windows view of what is in the folder? There are ways to
control what order is used using the Windows File Explorer. Are you using
that? When you double-click on items in the folder, does the tune play?

I don't use iTunes, so I don't know details of how it provides playlists and
control over them. If it provides a sequence that works for you, what is it
you want the copied Music Play list for?

If you can provide a specific scenario of how the iTunes Music Play list is
ordered (or do you just move songs around?), that would be helpful. Also, do
you still want to use iTunes to play the tunes or does it work for you to play
the music directly in Windows? (This will depend on the format of the tunes as
they are stored on your computer.)

I am recommending that you continue this discussion on the users list where
more people may be familiar with what you are attempting.

Subject: Keeping Playlist Sequence.
Importance: High

Hello,

I have a new computer with windows 8.1. I do not have Microsoft Works?

I need to be able to copy and drag my Music Play list out of my iTunes in the
same song sequence into a New Folder on my desktop.

As it is now, after I have copied my Play LIst to my new folder the Play List
is NOT in the same Sequence as it was in my iTunes.

If Open Office does have a " sequence procedure" can you give me the STEPS HOW
TO USE IT.

Thank you for any help in this matter.
Gerald Williams.
