For me, any changes in UI must be implemented as an option.
End-user can enable or not through a menu or dialogbox.

I put my comments in the issue. I actually prefer the design as it is now,
but, just my opinion.

In any case, thanks for bringing this to "dev". The changes do need more
feedback I think.
