I've certainly not noticed a variation.
During investigations with older browsers/systems I've seen inconsistent
behavior (i.e., same configuration working in different ways in
different moments). Maybe I bumped into cases where SNI support is
implemented but unreliable.
Well, it might be worth documenting this on the Wiki somewhere so
people can be directed to it if they ask.
