Hi Daniel,

Thank you for the advices. I am searching what to do. I wanna be in the
Openoffice Base, but I don't know what choice here.

You can use our Bugzilla to get an idea.
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/

For example try to fix a bug. There are about 200 unconfirmed and about 120 confirmed bugs since BugID 100000. Use the advanced search. Search for product Base and Resolution -- and constrain the search via Custom Search or Change History. Come back here, if you need help using Bugzilla.

Or you take one of the feature requests from there. There exist some old but still topical issues, for example https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=42464 "[RFE] allow to link tables from dfferent sources into one database file" or this one https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=8949 "[RFE] query on several tables of a DBase/Calc database"

The experienced developers are currently very busy with the upcoming AOO4.0 release. Therefore, please be not disappointed if you get not much and not quick response at the moment. Nevertheless don't hesitate to ask, if you need a pointer.

Kind regards
Regina

  Hello, community:

My name is Daniel Suarez, with nickname delta0, I want to become an Apache
openoffice developer.

That's great. You are welcome.

I am reading the builder and developer guide. I am

compiling the last SVN repo and also I am in the IRC oooes and
dev.openoffice.com.

That sounds very promising.

What do you recommend me?

It is such a large code, that nobody can be expert in all areas. So before
someone can propose a task, you should tell, if you have any special
interests. For example, improving a database connection or implementing a
new kind of shape or cleaning up the Tools>Options are very different. And
possible tasks exist a lot, not to count all the needed bug fixes.

Kind regards
Regina
