OK to merge the two messages, and I agree it's good to address this
issue. A few notes on Juergen's current draft (that will anyway be
partly rewritten):
- We should list the official project channels: announce mailing list,
blog, social media presence...
- We should also mention that some resources are not completely
up-to-date (the wiki for example)
- It is frequent to see links to this list's archives purported to be
official project statements. We might think about embedding a link to
the new resources, or a disclaimer, in the message footer. It would also
appear in the archives.
