The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache OpenOffice has asked Samer Mansour to become a committer and we are pleased to announce that he has accepted and taken the ID "smansour".
Samer is responsible for some of the additional social network integration you see on the website, such as the "share" links on our download page. He is also active in the rebranding/logo effort for AOO 4.0. Being a committer enables easier contribution to the project since there is no need to go via the patch submission process.
