The thickness of a CD is 1.2mm. If 40 million CDs are stacked one over the other, it will reach a height of 48KM ( 1.2 mm x 40000000 / 1000 ) in meter. It will be taller than the tallest mount Everest by 4 times. This is close to highest altitude achieved by a jet plane. ( Kindly recheck the calculation )
