Thanks for writing to us and expressing an interest in volunteering
with the Apache OpenOffice project. It sounds like you have interest
and experience that crosses over a few of our project areas, including
marketing and development.
We have several mailing lists [1] where various specialized topics are
discussed. But a good first place to start is our New Volunteer
Orientation modules [2] which will help you understand how the project
works. The first few ("Level 1") pages explain how we work and make
decisions in general. This is good background especially if you have
not contributed to an open source project before. Their are also
modules for getting started with Dev, QA, Localization and Marketing.
Feel free to explore whichever of those look interesting to you.
