Please also build debug version for desktop, sfx2, svx modules. Assume you are working with VS. Break at somewhere and take a look at the call stacks. You will find clue about main.
There is a drawdlg.cxx under sw\source\ui\shells. Set a break point in it. Then try to active related dialog in Writer. You will learn more about how it works.
