Yes, especially L10N is growing impressively: volunteers have contacted us to translate OpenOffice in 28 additional languages; of course, only a handful of teams will be able to finish in time for next week's deadline, while the others will focus on the 4.0 translation. For the current status, see

About including FOSDEM: I think it will be enough to mention the first two events in 2013 (FOSDEM and ApacheCon NA); we will probably write separate blog posts for more details about each event.

The Mwiki upgrade is probably worth a mention too.

And a "donations" link to http://www.apache.org/foundation/contributing.html would be appropriate too...
