Hi,

First off, Merry Christmas!

Thanks, also for you!

I found a small issue with the website. The AOO download page detects
the OS and architecture and automatically selects the correct binary.
However, Google Chrome on Ubuntu 64bit selects RPM instead of DEB
(Firefox correctly chooses DEB). Is this easy to change? I tend to
never notice until I unpack the tar and see RPMs; then, of course, I
select the correct version to download and wait.

This is a known problem we have with Google's Chrome. The issue is how to recognize if it's a RPM or DEB based Linux distro. Chrome runs on all Linux distros with the same user agent data. At the moment I don't know any differences that could be used for telling if it's RPM or DEB - compared with other browsers.

Please check yourself - you can compare it with the data from , e.g., Firefox:

Also an available torrent download of AOO3.4.1 would be fantastic. I
found [1] but it hasn't been updated since OOo3.2

AFAIK torrents - or P2P in general - are not that famous. There is less than 1 request per month here on the mailing list. So, the motivation to offer and maintain this service is not that high.

Thanks for using and supporting Apache OpenOffice.

Marcus
