You have sent your mail to a mailing list that requires subscription to receive normal replies, this time I have cc'ed you. Kannada is an important language in India and we would love include it in our releases. But we release only languages where we see an active translation community behind it to guarantee the support and maintenance in the future as well. Kannada was a supported language in the past and we have at the moment a coverage of the user interface translation of 95%. That means it wouldn't be too much work to complete it. The next option to make it available is probably in January 2013. If you are interested to help us to finalize the translation of Kannada then please join the l10n at openoffice.apache.org mailing list (cc'ed) and we give you all the necessary information how to proceed.
