Additionally I'd like to point to the nice tool Alki Nea announced here recently [1], that takes an ODF document and converts it into formats suitable for Kindle (*.mobi) and or most other Readers (*.epub).

Yet another proof on why open document formats are so important and beneficial.

Hope that helps,

Hi Bill,

Currently,AOO supports ODT,MS Office Binary Format,PDF,TXT and so on..You
can select one format to publish your document on Kindle..At lease, I think
PDF will meet your requirement.

Due to the fact I am on Social Security I am looking for a way to publish
some books I am writing to kindle without having to buy a new Microsoft
Word program...mine is too old for Kindle to accept. I simply do not have
the $$$ to purchase the soooo very expensive Word program. I am by no means
an expert on this computer stuff. I get along fairly way on my old Word
program. Your site was recommended as a potential way to go about this.
Blessings if it will do the job!.....So my question is will your program
allow me to publish on Kindle
Thank you,
