we need both rpm and deb but I'm starting with rpm as this is what I
use.

Can someone tell me?

The spec as generated at build time, that means, you have to build the
whole office - sorry! Only the desktop integration packages have specs
files, on trunk/main/sysui/desktop/[distro]/

Ok, well this is informative...naturally for patches we wouldn't be building everything. For a given version, we should be able to take the rpm and deb specs and build mini packs based on what was created for the big build.

So...is it possible for you (or someone) to just put these spec files someplace? for rpm and deb.
